I am currently working with a Top 100 firm currently seeking a VAT Tax Manager to join their highly reputable firm based in London. This firm has a variety of clients ranging from small and medium businesses to large corporates, partnerships, sole traders and high-net-worth individuals.

In this role you will be supporting clients with any technical issues on all indirect tax matters, including both compliance and advisory. You will manage a portfolio of clients acting as the technical specialist and provide any advice to identify future opportunities.

Your new role:

• Oversee and develop the firm's VAT services, acting as a technical specialist and providing advice on VAT issues.
• Address risk areas and ensure all compliance is consistent and up to date
• Manage a portfolio of clients and advise on any indirect tax-related matters
• Initiate business development opportunities to win new clients for the firm
• Attend meetings with the partners to contribute to discussions on marketing, finance and the wider company
• Manage junior members of the team and ensure work is allocated and supervised

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong practice VAT experience
• CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified
• Strong understanding of UK and European tax law and customs duty
• Strong ability to communicate with clients and colleagues to maintain and build rapport
