Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and deliver engaging art lessons that encourage creativity and self-expression.
  • Utilize various artistic techniques and media to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Organize and maintain a dynamic classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity.
  • Assess student work and progress, providing constructive feedback to support artistic development.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into other curricular areas.
  • Plan and coordinate art displays and exhibitions within the school and the wider community.
  • Stay updated with current art trends and educational methodologies to continually enhance the curriculum.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Art or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching art in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of art history and various art forms.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
