Assistant Accountant

Location: Salford- with hybrid working, 3 days working from the office and 2 days working from home

Salary: up to circa £27,000 plus study package

I am currently recruiting for a self-motivated, pro-active Assistant Accountant to join a global business based in Salford. This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting business, where you will join a large finance team, working closely with and reporting to a Finance Manager, thus gaining some great exposure and the opportunity to progress and develop.

Responsibilities will include:

• End to end management from cash reconciliations to supporting external reporting - board papers, stat accounts and lender compliance
• Key tasks include:
  • Cash Reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet Recs
  • Month End Preparation
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Fixed Assets
  • VAT returns
• Liaise with and provide support to operational teams

The successful candidate will have some previous accounts experience or be an Accounting graduate, and will have started their accounting qualifications (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or looking to start in their next role. The company will provide a full study package and offer support and training within the role.

You must be flexible, dynamic and have excellent communication skills, whilst having a real desire to grow and develop.
