Tennial Personnel are seeking a Logistics Planner to join our client's expanding team at their Suffolk based office. This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering a dynamic and varied role within a fast growing, family run business. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Working hours would be Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a one hour unpaid lunch break. The role is fully office based with onsite parking available.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning logistics operations and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities will include scheduling collections, liaising with hauliers, preparing reports, handling mail campaigns and contacting customers regarding orders. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a busy office environment and enjoys multitasking with a proactive mind-set.
Skills:
Plan and manage daily traffic operations, including scheduling and chasing ETA's with hauliers
Prepare detailed reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner to arrange order collections
Assist with the preparation of mail shots and advertising campaigns (postal and email)
Support general running of the office with various administrative duties
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Display excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are required
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel is beneficial
A confident and professional telephone manner is essential
A proactive and adaptable approach to day-to-day tasks
Prior office based or logistics planning experience is advantageous but not essential
