Are you a passionate History Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate young minds? Accelerate Teaching is delighted to partner with a dynamic secondary school in Leeds, seeking a dedicated and experienced History Teacher to join their team in September 2024.

At this thriving secondary school, you will have the chance to make a real impact, shaping the understanding and appreciation of history among students. We are looking for a teacher who can bring history to life, making lessons engaging, relevant, and thought-provoking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality history lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the history curriculum
  • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching history at the secondary school level
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching
